From engraving to cutting metal and polishing stone, a rotary tool is useful for many small workshop tasks.
A rotary tool is ideal for small cuts, deburring, polishing, engraving, and detailed shaping where a full-size grinder would be too aggressive.
Match the accessory to the material. Cutting wheels, sanding drums, polishing pads, and carbide burrs all behave differently under load.
Work in short passes and wear eye protection. Small accessories can heat up quickly, and forcing the tool usually gives worse results.
